Essentials of Kettlebell Lifting – Fitness Instructor Level 1 Course teaches fitness instructors and personal trainers alike in the use of kettlebell exercises and supporting calisthenic exercises. It explains programming and safety precautions suitable for group or individual training. Certified IKLF Kettlebell Level 1 Instructors will have the tools necessary to run a successful fitness class program and assist both groups and individuals with their fitness goals. The course is delivered over 6 days – 18 hours total.
Essentials of Kettlebell Lifting is a series of programs and techniques designed to train a person in all dimensions of fitness using kettlebells and other training tools to deliver looks and function in an easily applicable manner.
Kettlebells are the foundation of this method, and in this course, we teach a systematic approach to training with them in ways that are straightforward and effective. The level 1 course is meant to be a step up from the fundamentals and focuses primarily on application.
The Essential of Kettlebell Lifting training method routines directly address 3 of these factors during training sessions. The program was developed considering a person with limited time to train – typically, one hour per session, three times per week. Each session in the basic program is designed to target all three factors. Since many other training scenarios are possible, the EOKL training method was structured to allow for a high degree of session specialization and customization while retaining the core principles of the program and the ability to deliver results.
The Essential of Kettlebell Lifting training method identifies the following factors as crucial to achieving true fitness:

The Essentials of Kettlebell Lifting Training Method Factors
Factor Number 1: Strength
In this program strength is trained dynamically in concentric and eccentric form; and static strength with isometric work. The objective is to increase muscle and connective tissue strength, and better joint stability.
Factor Number 2: Range of Motion
The Essential of Kettlebell Lifting training routines involve movements and positions with and without kettlebells. The routines have dynamic and static components for increased training effect. Truth be told, the Essential of Kettlebell Lifting Fitness Instructor Course level 1 exercise selection creates a lot of crossover between Factor 1 (strength) and Factor 2 training. This is by design, since if fitness means “to be ready,” then a person should be trained to move and work in as many angles as possible. This combination is what makes our system so practical and functional.
Factor Number 3: Stamina
We define stamina as the ability to sustain an effort. The Essential of Kettlebell Lifting training method encompasses aerobic endurance, anaerobic endurance, and strength endurance training. The level 1 course primarily covers the training of anaerobic and strength endurance.
The training of the fourth and fifth factors, Nutrition and Mind, is not covered in this course
